About Us
The mission of the Huntington Beach Central Park Conservancy is to restore and enhance Central Park in partnership with the public and the City of Huntington Beach. The Conservancy aspires to improve the quality of open space for the enjoyment of our residents and guests an to be a “Welcome Mat Promoting Outdoor Recreation.” The Conservancy is a private non-profit park benefit organization that will raise money independent of the City and spend it under a plan of action mutually agreed upon. Monies will be used to help fund capital and new projects in the park.
Jeannie Posey, President
Jean Posey holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in financial accounting. She has worked over 40 years in the field of accounting within different industries.
Recently retired Chief Financial Officer from Chefs Toys, she has previously worked in entertainment film and amusement park industries. Film credits include: Jurassic Park and True Lies. Project accountant for Star Trek the Ride, Las Vegas
She is a former “First Lady” of Huntington Beach and is married to seated councilman Honorable Michael Posey.
Connie Mandic, Vice President
Connie has lived her life in Huntington Beach. While growing up she attended Mater Dei High School and Long Beach State. She is the co-owner of an 80+ year business in Huntington Beach, a licensed realtor and a seated Planning Commissioner, having served over eight years under three councilmen, and is active in several local organizations and charities.
She is a former “First Lady” of Huntington Beach and married to the Honorable Bob Mandic.
Cathy Green, Secretary
Cathy Green was first elected to the Orange County Water District (OCWD) board of directors in 2010 and was re-elected in 2012, 2016 & 2020, currently serving as 1st Vice President.
Prior to her service on OCWD, she was elected to two terms on the Huntington Beach City Council and served as mayor twice. Director Green serves on many boards including Huntington Valley Boys and Girls Clubs, OC Explorer Program, director of Prime Health Foundation and HB Hospital. Cathy is a registered nurse and holds a degree in law.
She is a former “First Lady” of Huntington Beach and is married to the Honorable Peter Green.
